the STIX project has the potential to solve a problem that dates back to the 1400's, when Gutenberg first conceived of movable type. -New York Times (Nov. 7, 2002)

STIX Fonts Release Candidate Approved

Kerning Tables Under Review

The STIX Technical Review Committee has approved the STIX Fonts Release Candidate. The final required step – preparation of kerning tables for the Latin character set – is in progress but is taking a little longer than anticipated. Kerning tables have been approved for medium weight upright glyphs and we are now reviewing italic, bold italic, and bold upright. We now anticipate release of the production fonts during the final week of March.

This site was last updated on 1 March. The next update will occur during the week of 15 March.
